The Scene of Non Celebs Death

At the scene of the landing the crowd gathered round

with some vomit and gasps at the lump on the ground

Tree limbs were broken what a mess everywhere

No EMT needed no chance for repair.

I was just walking my dog down the block

I just heard this snapping and thud like a rock

Probably unconscious, there wasn’t a scream

My God fifty feet and it could have hit me.

Hey, I saw him falling , man that was so fast

He came through those trees in two seconds max

I think someone killed him I mean I can’t say

It just don’t rain people, like this anyway.

I am a nurse, but were not trained for this

nothing to heal, all broken to bits

I just drove by saw the crowd and I stopped

to help if I could, but obviously not.

This is my house, I was having a biscuit

I heard the commotion and ran out and heres this

What the hell happened, just look at that tree

What? My last name is Guidry, that’s G U I D.

Hey, I told you kids, to stay in the car

God did they see him, they’ll all be so scarred.

Dude; check his wallet; might have an ID

Man what a morning: just look at that tree.

A man got up had coffee and toast

then “I’m off to skydive”: that was the note.

No need for names, its just a short read

with statements and photos of that torn up tree.

Blue Moon Saloon

At night and even on Saturday morning (Zydeco Breakfast), the air in Louisiana is charged with music. One such place is the Blue Moon Saloon in Lafayette Louisiana where so many great musicians gather and play to a grateful audience. Louisiana is its own world with so many colorful musicians and people; all with the common denominator of the joy of living. Have mercy.

Awakening

Nothing rises up stronger than something that has been held down; for better or worse. We must find our better selves and strengthen our resolve, knowing that aggression, hatred and negativity are the foot soldiers of the enemy. This enemy is humanity’s greatest foe; for it destroys not only its opposition but eventually, its own army as well. Yet, there is a potential of a positive outcome; one that hides among the ranks of those who suppress kindness, peace and love toward their fellow man; for the harder they try to silence the voice of reason, they may at some point, reach a moment of powerful and overwhelming clarity and change. Such souls can become great warriors.
